Payments
You can pay via bank transfer or bank cheque.
When you make your vehicle reservation request, you will be charged 30% of the total amount, with the remainder payable upon delivery.
Depending on how your company was established, you may or may not be entitled to VAT deduction. For further information, please contact your accounting department.
Insurance
In order to drive your vehicle, you must take out civil liability insurance. Without this insurance, the vehicle cannot be driven. Please note that compulsory insurance varies from sector to sector. Therefore, depending on your area of activity, other types of insurance may be required.
If you purchased your vehicle for tourism purposes, you will need Civil Liability Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance. These two documents will be required to obtain your National Register of Tourism Entertainment Agents (RNAAT) from Turismo de Portugal. Please consult this website for further information.
Warranty and After-Sales Service
Terms and Conditions of our diagnostic and repair service
- The initial diagnosis has a fixed cost of €60 + VAT.
- If you decide to repair your vehicle immediately, we will provide you with a detailed quote. Upon acceptance of the quote, we will proceed with the repair, and the cost of the diagnosis will be deducted.
- If the repair requires replacement parts and we do not have the material in stock, we will order it directly from the manufacturer. The delivery time will depend exclusively on them.
- If the problem is covered by the factory warranty, we will issue a credit note and refund the amount paid after confirmation from the manufacturer.
- If you prefer to wait for confirmation of the factory warranty, we can only proceed with the service after this confirmation. During this period, it will be necessary to wait for the factory’s response.
To activate your vehicle’s warranty, please complete the service form. Our technical team will contact you as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can send an email to service.lisboa@localtuktuk.com with the following information:
- Vehicle VIN number;
- Detailed description of the problem;
- Images or videos that help illustrate the situation.
Once you have sent the information, our technical team will analyse the case and contact you as soon as possible.

All E-Tuk Factory tuk tuks are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty, with the coverage period varying from part to part. Learn more about Warranty Coverage and After-Sales Service.
The image below shows the location of the chassis number (VIN) on vehicles manufactured before 2022. Alternatively, you can find this information on the right-hand side of the vehicle’s exhaust pipe.

For vehicles manufactured after 2022, the location is as shown in the image below.

The Vehicle Identification Number (also known as VIN) can be found on the left side of the front windscreen.

Alternatively, you can also find it next to the passenger door.

Delivery
In order to collect your vehicle, you must have the documents relating to compulsory insurance with you. It is also necessary that you have no outstanding payments.
Delivery times vary depending on vehicle availability at the factory. However, delivery will take place within a maximum of three months from the date of payment of the deposit.
